Glasgow Disability Alliance provides a much needed and valued service for disabled people aged 11 to 100+ in our community. GDA is run by disabled people, for disabled people. We provide support to meet others, build confidence and connections through free, fun and fully accessible learning and events. We build disabled people's voices so they can have their say in decisions that affect them and we provide an accessible Welfare Rights service.
All of this is usually face to face, with all the necessary access in place so everyone can participate, but we delivering all our support online at the moment. However, we know that many disabled people face digital exclusion, so we have been supplying the technology and the 1-2-1 support disabled people need to get online - often for the first time.
"GDA support has helped me cope, giving me something to look forward to and the chance to meet online with others who have become firm friends. I never thought I'd learn to use a computer in my 80s!"
We need your help so we can continue to offer and even expand our service, especially in these hard times.
Thank you for your support and good luck!
Tressa Burke, Chief Executive.
